Grianfranco Frattini was an architect and designer of furniture and lamps. He was one of the founding members of the ADI (Association of Industrial Design) in 1956. He was a great connoisseur of wood craftsmanship and considered it the ideal material to represent his essential style and design.
He collaborated with Gio Ponti until 1954. In 1970 he designed with Livio Castiglioni the snake lamp for Artemide. He also worked for Cassina, Bernini and Fantoni.
