Franco Campo (b. 1926) y Carlo Graffi (1925-1985) were an influential Italian design duo who made their mark on post-war furniture design. Formed in the Politecnico di Torino and close to Carlo Mollino, combined formal experimentation and structural sensibility in their interior design and furniture projects, emphasising organic curves and sculptural forms. In 1956 they founded Home, a teakwood furniture workshop-factory, with the aim of bringing good design to a wider public, with shops in Genoa and Rome. Their collaboration ended in 1964 after a fire destroyed the factory, but their work left a lasting mark, characterised by a synthesis of traditional craftsmanship and functional modernity.
