Kazuhide Takahama (1930-2010) was a Japanese designer who combined the traditional aesthetics of his country with Italian modernism. He studied architecture at Tokyo University of the Arts and, after being invited by Dino Gavina, moved to Italy, where he worked for firms such as Gavina, Simon and B&B Italia. His work is today a benchmark of contemporary design for its sobriety and precision.
