The factory A.V. Mazzega was founded in 1946 in Murano, the birthplace of Venetian art glass. From its beginnings it specialised in hand-blown glass, keeping alive the traditional techniques handed down by generations of master glassmakers. In the 1960s and 1970s it stood out for its collaborations with designers such as Carlo Nason, who contributed a modern and innovative language. Today the firm combines the Murano tradition with contemporary proposals for high-end handcrafted lighting. Its creations form part of collections, galleries and international projects, consolidating it as one of the most important historic Murano glass houses.
