Mario Marenco (1933-2019) was an Italian architect, designer and actor. He graduated in architecture from the University of Naples and also worked in Stockholm and Chicago. As a designer he is famous for the sofa Marenco for Arflex (1970) and other iconic furniture.
On television and radio he excelled as a comic actor on Alto Gradimento, L'altra domenica e Indietro tutta!with characters such as Colonel Buttiglione. He passed away in Rome in 2019, leaving his mark on both Italian design and entertainment.
