An antique Berber hand-painted terracotta jug. From the Riff. The pottery of the Riff is in itself a legacy of a millenary culture. Women who prepared the clay with a handful of clay, moulded without a potter's wheel, decorated with brushes made from goat's hair, prepared the pigments for decoration themselves, and fired them in open ovens.
