Sambonet Conca cutlery set designed by Gio Ponti in silver plated steel

1.800,00

Conca cutlery, designed by Gio Ponti for Sambonet, was originally developed in 1951 and presented at the IX Milan Triennale.
Gio Ponti described this design in 1951, characterised by a short-bladed knife with an oblique profile and forks with short, slightly concave tines.

The design is based on a functional anthropological study, where the shape of the cutlery is adapted to the habits of use.

Ponti's versatility is further exemplified in his collaboration with Sambonet, where he designed the exquisite Conca 24 Cutlery Set collection. The Conca, a perfect combination of form and function, is a staple in the cutlery world. His contributions to table accessories did not stop there; Ponti also designed pieces for Christofle and Venini.
