Charles Dudouyt (1885-1946) was a French designer and cabinetmaker known for his modern rustic style. He studied at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and began his career as an illustrator before turning to furniture. In the 1930s he founded his workshop, creating solid wood pieces with sculptural forms and carved details. His work is notable for combining traditional craftsmanship with a robust, contemporary aesthetic. Dudouyt left a lasting mark on 20th century French design.
