Gaetano Sciolari (1927-1994) was an Italian designer and entrepreneur renowned for his modern, geometric luminaires; he worked for Stilnovo before running the family business and founding Sciolari Lighting. After training initially as a pilot and later as an architect, he also worked in film and television.
