Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French interior designer and architect, renowned for his leading role in the Art Deco movement and for his transition to an elegant and functional modernism. He headed the company Compagnie des Arts Français and became famous for his use of luxury materials, such as leather, parchment, metal and glass, in furniture with pure lines and refined proportions. Adnet collaborated with prestigious brands, including Hermès, and left a lasting influence on 20th century design thanks to his balanced approach between traditional craftsmanship and modernity.
