C&B, or Cassina & Busnelli, was founded in 1966 by Cesare Cassina and Piero Ambrogio Busnelli with the aim of utilising the most innovative technologies to achieve a larger-scale, less artisanal production process. In 1973, Busnelli acquired Cassina\u2019s shares and changed the company\u2019s name to B&B Italia.<\/p>\n
Mario Bellini<\/strong> (Milan, 1935) \u2013 one of the most important designers and architects of the 20th and 21st centuries, and the creator of iconic pieces of furniture \u2013 graduated with a degree in architecture in 1959 and began working as a self-employed architect during the 1960s.
\nLike many other Italian architects, his professional work spans architecture, urban planning and furniture design.
